Privacy Policy
The short version: we keep it readable. No walls of legal jargon, no surprises buried in the fine print.
Who We Are
Offeractionlane is a Perth-based coffee and pastry business operating from our Mount Lawley studio and a mobile espresso cart across the metropolitan area. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal information you share with us when you book an event, order a cake, browse our website or subscribe to our newsletter.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have questions about anything on this page, write to us at offeractionlane@gmail.com and we will answer in plain English without legal jargon.
What Information We Collect
We only collect what we need to run your booking or answer your enquiry. That usually includes:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Delivery or event address, including venue name and access notes
- Booking date, guest numbers and menu preferences
- Payment details processed through our bank or payment provider
- Any allergy or dietary information you choose to tell us
- Basic website analytics such as pages viewed and device type
We do not collect sensitive information such as health records, political views or religious beliefs unless you volunteer it for a specific order.
How We Use Your Information
Your details are used to confirm bookings, prepare quotes, deliver orders, issue invoices and provide customer support. We also use your email address to send order updates and, if you opt in, occasional seasonal menus or new service announcements.
We never sell your information to third parties and we do not share it for advertising purposes. Limited details are shared with delivery drivers, venue coordinators or our accountant strictly on a need-to-know basis.
Storage and Security
Booking records are stored on encrypted cloud systems with two-factor authentication. Paper order forms are kept in a locked cabinet at our studio and shredded after seven years in line with Australian tax requirements.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no online system is completely secure. If you suspect a breach involving your details, contact us immediately so we can investigate and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if required.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. We will respond within thirty days.
- Request access to your records by email
- Ask for corrections to inaccurate details
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the OAIC if you are unhappy with our response
Cookies and Updates
Our website uses a small number of cookies to remember your preferences and measure which pages are useful. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
We may update this policy occasionally. The current version is always published on this page and the effective date is shown in the site footer.
